Dr. Matt Lowe Selected to Team USA – 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships!
Sports Chiropractor Helps Team USA Reach Peak Performance.

July 24, 2019

Dynamic Sports Medicine announced earlier this month that Dr. Matt Lowe was selected as a sports chiropractor to travel with USA Swimming team once again!  Dr. Lowe accompanied Team USA to both Singapore and Gwangju, South Korea for the 2019 World Championships for July 12-28, 2019.

The role of a sports chiropractor for the USA Swimming Team proves to be essential.  Athletes appreciate having access to chiropractic to help reach peak performance. For Team USA and athletes in any sport, a sports chiropractor can help to reduce the risk of injuries, accelerate recovery time and improve health and performance through enhancements in range of motion, flexibility, muscle strength.

In a sport where hundredths of a second can mean the difference between winning or losing a race, Dr. Matt Lowe takes great pride in providing sports chiropractic care that is helping the men and women of Team USA win!

This is the last big swim meet before next summer’s Tokyo Olympics. The team is doing excellent as we reach a few more days of the meet. Midway through these world championships, Team USA has received three gold medals and eight overall.

Dr. Lowe is working with some big-name athletes, such as Lilly King. The former Indiana University swimmer repeated as world champion in the 100-meter breaststroke Tuesday night, winning a gold medal in her specialty and beating Russian rival Yulia Efimova.  In day 4 finals, Caleb Dressel will swim the 100 free after going a 47.32 in preliminaries.  Katie Ledecky’s next scheduled event is the women’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay Thursday. The women’s 800 freestyle, a race Ledecky has never lost in a major competition, begins Friday morning.

Earning the appointment as USA Swimming’s team-chiropractor at the 2019 World Championships ranks as a tremendous honor in Dr. Lowe’s professional career, and he views this role as an absolute privilege to serve Team USA swimmers. After weeks in Singapore and Korea, he is looking forward to getting home and back in the office on July 30.
