About Dr. Spencer Venus
If your swing hurts, Dr. Spencer can tell you why.
He evaluates the same mechanics your coach does — golf swing, pitching and hitting mechanics, quarterback throwing technique, running gait — but through the lens of how your body is actually moving. That means he can connect the pain in your elbow or lower back to the pattern that’s causing it, then fix both. It’s a rare combination, and it’s why golfers, baseball and softball players, and overhead throwing athletes seek him out.
Sports are in his blood.
Dr. Spencer grew up around the game. His grandfather, Jim Stanley, coached football at Oklahoma State University and spent years coaching in the NFL — the start of a lifelong interest in performance and injury prevention. A former collegiate quarterback himself, Dr. Spencer began his career at Southwestern Oklahoma State before transferring to Oklahoma State University, where he earned a B.S. in Microbiology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic from Cleveland University–Kansas City.
Root cause, not just symptoms.
Dr. Spencer’s philosophy is simple: lasting results come from finding why something hurts, not just chasing the pain. His treatment combines chiropractic care, soft tissue work, dry needling, and movement-based rehab into a plan built to get you recovered, moving well, and staying active for the long haul.
Who he treats.
Competitive athletes and active individuals alike — with a particular passion for golfers, baseball and softball players, and rotational sport athletes. His clinical focus spans sports injuries, spine and extremity conditions, movement optimization, and performance enhancement.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
When you schedule your first appointment with Dr. Spencer Venus, DC, you can expect a thorough and focused evaluation from start to finish. Your initial visit begins with a detailed conversation about your health history, current symptoms, activity level, and personal goals. This helps your provider understand the full picture before any hands-on assessment begins.
From there, Spencer will perform a comprehensive physical evaluation, including movement screening, strength testing, and targeted orthopedic assessments relevant to your condition. Every finding is explained clearly so you understand exactly what is happening in your body and why.
Before you leave, you will have a personalized treatment plan outlining your diagnosis, recommended interventions, visit frequency, and realistic timelines for recovery. Most patients begin hands-on treatment during their very first session. Follow-up visits are structured to build on each prior session, with measurable benchmarks tracked along the way so you can see your progress in real time.
